Managed to get the stock exhaust out. But I ran out of daylight! Corksport's exhaust in tomorrow morning. Stay tuned for videos of open header from stock and then finished results with exhaust installed. Ill probably save the MSDS header for another day.
Installed about a week ago. Thanks to @crw.npt . It is definetly NOT as loud as I expected. IMO very tolerable throughout any rpm. Still sounds good. I have yet to hear it outside under wot. Here is the YouTube link:
Man I love the way the red tint looks on the tails ! I always wanted to do it but am afraid it would look tacky in person. Have any pictures of tails on at night ?
Thanks guys. Ill try and attach some pictures tonight when I get home.
@buttqueef I might have one or two pictures. But I litterally formed and cut it to fit and then I ripped it off while "spirited driving" the next day lol
@EWitsSEAN I have a thread somewhere of how they were done. They are tinted with a viynl. They look great and only have small blemishes up close. I wanted them vinyled rather than the vht so I could have it removed if ever needed. Ill have to snap a photo of them when it gets dark. The only thing I would worry about is that your reverse light is red and caution to other drivers. Ill try and link the thread later too. My taillights are probably one of my favorite mods.

I dropped my phone in a sewer drain and lost every picture/video. I haven't been as active as I'd like to be but i received a GoPro, so now I can take some better pictures. Also picked up these...
Mitsu Evo 10 OEM Recaro Seats
Update on the Corksport exhaust and racepipe for those who are looking to purchase and are unsure of (I know I was.): Sounds great on cold starts. I wish it stayed that loud. Has a nice rumble. Loud from 2k rpm and above. I've had it for a couple of months now and it has quieted down. I noticed a decreased in low end torque from the 2k rpm range and below. There is no drone on the highway driving at speeds 60 to 90mph. (None that bothered me.) Great exhaust. I have yet to hear from outside the car under wot. The only downside is that the tips sit crooked in the exhaust exit/holes of the car and are not symmetrical.
Hopefully the picture comes out okay, I'm uploading from my iPhone. Ordered a 4gal tank and 2 viair compressors with hardware. It'll be the start of my bagbuild. I have yet to install my header and buy brackets for the seats. Looking into doing a single exit exhaust with bumper swap but keeping the corksport piping.
Man I can't imagine how exciting that is seeing that infront of you... I'm pretty sure I'm losing sleep just thinking about lowering my car and all my plans hahaha
Haha it's basically all that I think about too. I had coilovers for about a month and then decided to take them off for this. What are some of your plans for lowering? Are you looking into Airride?
Purchase update.
Ordered a set of 215/35/18 Nankang NS-20's from onlinetires.com. Looking to get a pretty good stretch. Also ordered a set of wobble nuts from Guerrilla Racing. Fingers crossed that those will work. I'm gonna push hard this spring to get the parts I've bought over the past year onto the car.. Header, camber arms, wheels. Coilovers will probably go back on until I can afford the rest of my air setup. My next big purchase will either be a skid plate or the brackets for the Evo X recaros. Although I am a little concerned about it deleting my side airbags.
Went and bought my third sti v limited front lip from eBay as it was 15 dollars cheaper than I've bought it before. I also picked up a set of LED under glow puddle lights. I am hoping I can somehow wire that to a switch near where the 'dsc' button is.
After a year I finally got to install the msds header. My review of it as follows as well as the difficulties I had. It took me about two afternoons to complete by myself with a little parts/tools help from my dad. I used lots of wd40 but the only real problem I had was getting to the nuts or bolts and having enough leverage to get them out. I suggest taking out both heat shields and the lower shelf. Buy a crown O2 socket, it will attach to a torque wrench. You might have to unbolt the race pipe or the other side of the exhaust to pull down the header. I used the oem gasket.
With the combined mods it's pretty loud. It's as loud as I expected the corksport exhaust to be when I first got it. Cabin noise is loud and probably not for everyone. Anything past 4k rpm it will get raspy. Idle is louder and cruising is great. Deep sounding almost like a Subaru. Downshifts give you a nice grumble and an occasional loud pop. I felt a noticeable difference in the power band. Here's a video shot with my iPhone. But the rattle doesn't do it justice!
I'll have to upload the video from a computer later.
There was an offer I couldn't resist so I purchased the main components of the airride setup I need. This will leave me with rear bags and lca's left to purchase!
Lca's came but need to be re painted white. Water traps came in the mail but I lost my mailbox key lol. Rear bags are here. This completes my air setup.
Purchased the gv wing from TheSpeedline about a month back and it unexpectedly came today. I couldn't figure out how to use the tracking number system they provided and I needed to sign for it so luckily I was home. It's supposed to be color matched and It looks to be, when I get it to the car we'll see. Pretty much stock piling car parts until I get my car back.
Biigg update: Master update coming in about 2 months. Today I installed Corksports LED light kit. A tip that I can give is that for the rear liscense plate lights you don't need to take out their housing. Jut pull on the oem bulb and itll pop out. if corksport's leds aren't working, try turing them on and the glove box lights when the parking/amber lights are on. i also recently change out my optima redtop for a yellow top as i will be running a lot of accessory light and power.
What I have coming:
-Full airlift and uas airride suspension and Autopilot v2 management with two 400 cc compressors and 4 gallon tank. custom made lca's that i will be paint stripping and repainting.
-Gv wing
-puddle lights (wired to a secondary dsc button, hopefully)
-Matt's orange virus tune
Update 1.5: The gv wing from thespeedline DOES NOT match the paint on my car. the wing's color white looks darker. we'll see how it is when Oregon isn't as dark and gloomy but it is very noticeable. disappointing.
Thanks! Most of pictures are like two years old. The tailights were tinted red with a film by a local shop. They definitely aren't perfect. I'd recommend painting them with vht and then clear coat. The rear valence was plastidipped!
