We could probably do something like this. I don't know what prices are but what do you all value decals at? Would be a good way to gauge whether it's possible to do on a mass scale...
I'd pay a couple of bucks for a decal! Something small enough to be shipped via USPS and not have a giant cost to get them to everyone across the states!
Don't forget us, could be sent worldwilde...cheap.
For the colors, I don't know what you think but to keep it cheap 1 color is better. I think retroreflective white or grey should looks great on all cars.
Here is an example, the logo on my rear window is retroreflective
I actually created the forum logo with photoshop and have a pretty big PSD for it already. I'll talk to some sticker shops and get prices during the first week of February.
Hopefully that's not too long but between the image upload issue we had earlier this month, the upcoming contest where we're going to give away free car parts and having to upgrade the forum server (again!) to meet demand I'm pretty beat.
josh, if you need a hand let me know. for decals, eps files in illustrator would be better, that way any size can work as it will be vector art. i have cs4, a legit full version at that. let me know what i can do.
Forum logo would be cool. If I may suggest an alternate I would say "M3R" so we can have it a larger font then small underneath it write "Mazda3Revolution.com". I like the idea of just having the decal without a background to it though, I think I read someone say black on white. (that might have just been for a test/demo to see what it would look like)
Hey guys, just mocked up a M3R logo/decal. Any suggestions or thoughts? I was thinking we can change to color of the "3" in the logo according to the color of your MZ3 just to differentiate.
The little marks will be a problem if people are looking for a cut vinyl graphic also. they would give the person making them fits and they would not last long once installed unless they were thickened up, which would lose the look you were going after.
It would need to be a printed graphic on decal material which would raise costs.
It's good that Bryce pointed out that the marks were to thin for decals. Never took that into consideration. Also, by making the lines thicker, it would defiantly lose the whole "industrious" look that BigMac was talking about earlier.
I can also see Anthony's point on the R being read as a P. The weight of the R's leg gets narrow, which makes the rest of the letter look a lot more dominant. Nevertheless, great feedbacks.
I think it should be kept simple like just "M3R" and .com small after it or maybe the mazda logo with mazda3revolution.com in a circle around the logo? im no good at drawing on a computer or else i would mock it up but im sure you can get the picture.
Since M3R.com is a real estate site, I'd recommend going with Mazda3Revolution.com! I'd hate to advertise for some company that I don't want anything to do with, especially since I'm really close to that company!
If the M3R was big enough you could type mazda and revolution inside the straight portions of the M and R respectively but that might be getting a bit to complicated. Can anybody do up my idea for the Mazda logo?

As somebody in the sign business, I would open myself up to all sorts of potential trademark infringement by making decals using the Mazda Logo... it's already a borderline gray area with what I've done with the 3 and using a similar font to what Mazda uses (the font I used was actually a knock off of a Pepsi font).
