I should just gather up some empties and take a photo.

I'm also a huge fan of Belgian Ales. The French Canadiens have done a decent job with some good Belgian style ales. Unibroue La Fin Du Monde is excellent as is their Trois Pistoles. Pretty much everything from Unibroue is great.

And there are some good Belgian style ales made here in the US also - Allagash makes a few that are decent.

Chimay White is an old fave of mine, but if I can get my hands on an Orval, Delerium Tremens, or La Chouffe, I'm usually smiling ear to ear. Duvel and Gulden Draak are good beers too. The Belgians know how to make an ale - bottle condition it, put a cork in it and wire it down for dear life. And when you're done and it's 8%-12% ABV.

For American beers, I am a HUGE fan of Dogfish Head - 60 and 90min IPA are staples for any brewer and beer lover...but their other beers are amazing - the Burton Baton and Palo Santo kick ass! But the 120 minute IPA holds the title for the little bottle that could - topping out at over 20% ABV.

On this coast, I'm a die hard, card carrying member of the Rogue Nation. Their Juniper IPA and Hazelnut Brown are both awesome...but like Dogfish Head, they've got 50 beers they're brewing at any given time. Great ingredients, and rarely do any of the beers from Rogue tip into the realm of normalcy.

Finally, Stone out of Escondido, CA is to die for. Their Smoked Porter (rivaled pretty well by Alaskan Smoked Porter), Arrogant Bastard and Oaked Arrogant Bastard are not for the feint of heart.

I absolutely love a good beer. Kicked my feet up tonight with the Widmer Brothers '10 Pitch Black IPA. Not convinced with it yet, but it's tasty enough. The Widmer '09 was so damn good though that I'm hard pressed to like the beer that knocked it out of the rotation.

Jason

Hey Jason, it seems you really like beers. If you got the opportunity, a trip to belgium and its 800+ different beers could be interesting ...
