02 GTI 337. It was perfect. OEM HID's, OEM nav, APR, FMIC, downpipe, Euro bumpers, etc. etc. etc. Neighborhood guy stopped me one day and asked to buy it and we had just had our first child. Thought it was a good idea at the time. I've seen it since then all busted and crashed. It's depressing. The thing was paid off, too.

First week he owned it he was asking me where to buy a new Michellin Pilot because his wife didn't know it was flat and drove a good 20 miles on it. The tire probably only had 1000 miles. It was sad. That was just the beginning...

My friend had a rx-3 in the 70's..I should have bought it......it was pretty scary to drive as it was fast. I mean the power and sheer acceleration was just so much fun.

I still miss my Expedition with the keypad entry. That really is a convenient feature to just leave your keys in the car while at the lake, or lock the dog inside with it running and the AC on...

I miss both my previous cars...

1) 1987 Jeep Wrangler - got it from my cousin for a year...at the end of that year he offered to give it to me, but I couldn't afford the insurance (I was 18 at the time, insurance in CT was like $2k/year), so back it went to him, and he eventually gave it to a friend of his. That beast had the carbed straight six that consistently never started on the first try, but always started eventually like clockwork (if that even makes sense lol). Was surprisingly optioned for not being a Laredo (had the leather wheel, A/C, wide tires) and was in California most of its life (so, faded paint, no rust). Gave it back with 163k on the clock

2) 1998 Audi A4 2.8- was my mom's car. We bought it the year we moved back from Europe. I got it from her after the Jeep with 104k on it (she had just gotten an '05 Mini Cooper S). Drove it until 143k when the exhaust and clutch went, at which point I decided to take care of the valves (they needed to be done). Dropped it off at an Audi tech who worked for a premier Porsche/VW/Audi shop in Danbury. Came back with an estimate of $3500 (Audis are horrendously complex to work on, and I wanted it done right), my parents ended up giving him the car. I kinda regret not wanting to do it on the cheap, I probably coulda done it for $2k. Drove a 10 mpg Jeep for about a year before trading it on the Mazda
