THIS is exactly why I chose the 2013 MS3 over the 2015 options ... I figure that Mazda is sitting out this next wave of middle weight match ups and won't be venturing into gestalt of hot hatches again until the generation after next i.e. beyond 2020

Pretty disappointing if Mazda higher-ups decide to sit out the ongoing melee, but then again, something in 2020 would coincide nicely with the company's centennial anniversary... (sigh)

In the Mazda executives perspective the fuel efficient skyactiv theory with the kodo design have been selling like hot cakes. They have no reason to compete in the hot hatch market. The cars still feel sporty enough to keep their zoom zoom motto. A mazdaspeed version will come. It's only a matter of when.

I am in love with the Golf R but at close to 40k....my wallet is loving the fact I went with my '15 3 hatch.

Damn those are sexy cars.....

Valiant effort by Ford but I just wouldn't be willing to be the guinea pig for their excursion into the hot hatch.

The Focus St and this new project are just enough to get me interested though.
