@steelrain As of right now I am unsure of the wiring, but i plan on removing the trim on top to see if there is any way I can go about it without drilling into the car, i would REALLY hate to drill into the car. Although i did drill 15 holes in my old tundra to mount a set of cab lights. So far though the mounts seem solid with no movement I am just unsure about wind resistance on the LED.

I didn't realize the Mazda 3 crowd was interested in rally lighting

We just released our newly designed off-road lighting. I will see if we can fab up some mounts when we get another Mazda in for testing

A smaller light bar would look sweet in that lower grille IMO

As of right now here is my current design for the mounts, more refinements to be made. Currently still in the prototype state. If I have some success I can make a couple on the CNC. Anyone interested in the idea? If you have any comments or suggestions for the mount PM me.

@bubba93 my plan was when i get my roof rack i would somehow mount the LED bar underneath on the cross bar. But yet the mounting points not interfere with the regular rack attachments. Then figure out the wiring issue. So if anything fabricate a mounts that work with the square cross bar or areo bar roof racks by thule or yakima.

I could go for a row of 4 lights like this, cleanly fitted/tucked into the lower part of the front grill on the Gen3s.

Cool I like the idea of the light bar on top of or beneath a roof rack cross bar. Then it's possibly removable

with the rumor of the gen 3 speed3 being an awd, I would very much be interested in seeing some rally inspired lighting/rack lighting.
