Well, apparently no one in Oklahoma drives a new 3, lol. I have some family in Texas and I'm in south-central OK, so going to a meet wouldn't be out of the question. Have any of you Texans talked about that yet? Maybe Dallas or Austin?

Well, I lived in Texas for 2 years and can say it's a different world. I was in Houston, which is just too spread out for a large city (4 million). The weather was crazy too. In the short time I was there, I went through a hurricane and a snowfall (yes, snow in Houston). It was hot there most of the time and the humidity makes life miserable. It just wasn't for me.

I have been to El Paso before (Ft. Bliss). It's an okay place if you like desert environments. My biggest issue was with crime and its proximity to Juarez. You should read up on the Mexican cartels if you're moving there. Scary stuff.

C'mon Derrick. There's always room for a good shootout! It wouldn't been South Texas without some banditos.

On a more serious note, you really need to be careful anywhere along our southern border. The US Government has all but lost control of the border and elements are crossing in droves. Hell, I just read about an incursion by Mexican drug lords into the US brandishing 50 cal machine guns taking on the Border Patrol.
