Mystery of the Mazda Car Molds Revealed + MX-5 Facelift
Posted on 13. Aug, 2008 by DeuxEx3 in In The Forums, Mazda News, What's Hot
There has certainly been no shortage of Mazda news lately including what were originally suspected to be toy car molds of the 2010 Mazda3 revealing the evolutionary new face of the redesigned Mazda3 ahead of its LA Auto Show debut in September.
Now it appears the mystery of the Mazda “toy car” molds has been revealed in a series of shots acquired by Motor Authority showcasing the newly revised face of the MX-5 Miata with a revised mesh grille. The photos look strikingly similar to the Mazda3 molds revealed just a few short days ago.
As MotorAuthority explains:
“The European Union’s Office of Harmonization for the Internal Market (OHIM), the body responsible for registering the EU’s trademarks, has let slip a series of images detailing Mazda’s upcoming MX-5 facelift.”

It’s pretty clear to us now that the Mazda3 molds you see are in fact of the 2010 Mazda3 (as Europe will receive it) and the upcoming Mazda MX-5. Comment below and let us know what you think of the changes!
