REAL: 2010 Mazda3 Spied in Skimpy Camo!

LeftLaneNews and the hawk eyed photographers over at Brenda Priddy & Co. caught the new 2010 Mazda3 while it was being tested with very little camo on to mask the revisions for the brand new model. Riding on the global Ford C1 platform, which will also see action under the next generation Ford Focus, the 2010 Mazda3 looks sleeker with a pushed back, more coupe like profile.

The 2010 Mazda3 s model is widely expected to feature the bumped up engine we’ve already seen in the 2009 Mazda6 model with 2.5L producing upwards of 170 - 180 hp while the base model will either keep its current 2.0L engine or move up to the 2.3L engine being dropped by the Mazda3 s line.

Other highlights worth noting:

• The 2010 Mazda3 will offer a six speed manual transmission.

• Select 2010 Mazda3 models will have an MP3 hard drive option available.

• The 2010 Mazda3’s interior will borrow heavily from the 2009 Mazda6’s interior.

• There are a few more in-car features controllable via steering wheel controls.

• Mazda has integrated turn signals into the corners of the mirrors on the 2010 Mazda3 (s GT?).
