The mega auto blog from down under, CarAdvice.co.au, caught the U.S. version of the 2010 Mazda 3 testing earlier today. Although the new photos don’t reveal much that we haven’t already seen they do give a couple new perspectives on the upcoming Mazda 3’s body lines.

The feature list is long, with Mazda 3 s-line models expecting a 20 hp boost thanks to a newly bumped 2.5L four cylinder in addition to the many new lux features like integrated turn signals in the mirrors, mp3 hard drive and suspected new features like advanced keyless entry with push button start.

The wait is almost over as Mazda plans to officially unveil the 2010 Mazda 3 at the Los Angeles Auto Show which runs through mid-November.

Check out the list below to see what we do know and what’s being speculated on about the 2010 Mazda 3:

First, what we do know. Previous spy photos of the 2010 Mazda 3 have clued us in to the following certainties about the next generation model:

• The 2010 Mazda 3 will offer a six speed manual transmission.

• Select 2010 Mazda 3 models will have an MP3 hard drive option available.

• The 2010 Mazda 3’s interior will borrow heavily from the 2009 Mazda6’s interior.

• There are a few more in-car features controllable via steering wheel controls.

• The base engine in the Mazda 3 i models is expected to be either the current 2.0L or the s-line’s 2.3L while the s-line is expected to receive the 2.5L 4-cylinder from the 2009 Mazda6. The Mazda 3s will use a dual exhaust/tail pipe set up.

• Mazda has integrated turn signals into the corners of the mirrors on the 2010 Mazda 3 (s GT?).

• The 2010 Mazda 3 will carry over features like remote trunk release and power driver’s seat from the current generation.

• Advanced keyless entry (walk up to the door and it unlocks) and push button start are expected to be an option on top tier models.
