tow hitches on fwd cars are never a good idea. i guess it all depends on how heavy your load is. there is a thread on here about tow hitches somewhere.

 

Just ordered my "draw-tite" class 1 hitch for my 2012 3 Hatch. Should be in tomorrow! I do not plan to haul anything other then my bikes (I race for Easter Mountain Sports) or my flat receiver rack for tailgating since I can't see myself throwing a grill/ coolers in the back of this like my Xterra.

I'll post a few shots once its installed.

I agree i wouldnt be pulling anything heavy. But What about a tow hook? you know for when the car is lowered. Like every honda and their mother have on their cars?

 

There is one in the trunk, where the spare is. are you looking for a flashy aftermarket one? In my opinion, especially for the die hard honda enthusiast, they put those things on their car because they know they are going to break down. :tongue:

 

I wrote up this little post about the Draw-Tite. I like it and it is tucked up under the bumper real well, so it's not overly noticable. I got mine strictly for a bike rack, though. I did not install a wiring harness to be able to tow anything with it.

Ya like the flashy ones that go under the rear bumper and stick out! Lol

 

get the big eye bolt tow hook out and have it chromed, anodized, or powder coated. it can be flashy too.

 

I have the hidden hitch brand on my hatch. No wiring though, I only use it for a bike rack
