First thing I did was PlastiDip my emblems. I plan on painting the background in my front emblem white.

I PlastiDipped my rims black and painted my calipers blue. In most pictures its hard to see the blue behind the wheels, but in person it stands out just right.

 

how do u like the plastidip?? i was thinking of doing purple plastidip on the roof of my mazda. but i am not sure how it will look, and how long it will last. as i go over the speed limit lol

ahh i lived in the ghetto north vegas, lake mead and walnut.. got shot walking home once.. don't recommend that area.

Ya, I went with Blue for that reason. All the stores in town only carried the red or black caliper paint. I wanted to go different and kinda keep the Skyactiv blue thing going.

Blue calipers and the black plastidip on the rims look very nice. If only there wasn't a super anal law on turning the rear lights black. That'd look incredibly sick.

Peeled of the plasti-dip to redo the front badge. Got the idea from forum member olachu808 actually. Looks so much better!

Nice build! You're going down the exact path I'm looking to go down. I think I'm going to go with something lighter than 20% on my car now that I see yours.

The pic your asking about is the front emblem plain with the badge pulled off for painting. For some reason it looks brown in the pic but it's actually just the black plastic before I painted it white.

I baked and painted my headlights yesterday! Tonight I will post some pics.

Baked and painted my headlights last night. Wow, that sure is a task! Taking the bumper off is the easiest part, believe it or not.

As you can see I started in the day and finally finished at night. Took about 9 hours including drinking beer time.

 

Here is some pics after I washed her up. I left the high beam functional as well as the orange reflector. I also taped off the tip of the ring around the main light to keep some of the cool blue chrome.

 

Are those the stock DRL? or did you upgrade to an LED light. Plus how hard was it to paint your headlights. I had done it to my NISMO and would love to do it to my MS3

I am very happy with how the lights turned out. With the black lights now the front end reminds me of an S2000.

I will be getting my Corksport intake and exhaust by mail tomorrow. :dancin 1: Can't wait!

 

Now that I can't wait to hear about. Are you doing a DIY install or sourcing it to a local shop?
