Much of this information is outdated, particularly what Versions can or must be installed, I might update one day (March 2024).

Message me if you need updated firmware link, click on my avatar, I need to know this from you...

For MAZDA MZD CONNECT I Need to know what FULL Version Number is used in your car now.

1. Go to touchscreen red 'SETTINGS',
2. Side Scroll to Top Far Right Folder 'SYSTEM',
Scroll Down to 'ABOUT'
3. Touch 'Version Information'.

FULL Version Numbers and Region Letters are revealed.
Next ONLY send me a Picture or Full Text of this screens details.

Also tell me (confirm) in what country is your Mazda NOW driven in as some in this Forum use VPNs that hides your real user country.

NOTE: MY REPLY to YOU can take up to 14 Hours as I am in Australia, be patient. Do Not download Firmware Files from any other websites as they offer zero support and usually only one of the three Regions.

If you wish to update your MZD/Mazda Connect FIRMWARE yourself, this is the thread for you, all the info you need is on this Page 1, it is very easy..please See 7 below if you have questions you want answered, just make sure you install the correct OEM Firmware for your country..
NOTE: This Page 1 is colour coded and colour numbered to make it easier to locate & find, please read this information and numbered titles, it is easy to read and perform these updates.
...URL's or Downloads Links are in light blue...

1. What is my existing Connect Firmware # in use right now?.

2. Update: 'How To Install Instructions' (PDF) and YT Video.

3. Official MAZDA/MZD CONNECT Firmware Download Links.

4. Gracenote Music Title Database File Download Links.

5. Mazda/MZD Connect + Navi-extra's + Bluetooth OEM Support Links.

6. HARDWARE and FIRMWARE CAUTIONS.

7. HELP US to HELP YOU..See below.

These files are the exact Firmware Files your Mazda Dealer use.
Self or Owner updating of Connect or Music Database Firmware does not void your new car warranty.

-------------------------------ooOOOoo-------------------------------------

1... How Do I know what current 'Versions Of Firmware #' I have installed in my car with Mazda-MZD Connect right now?

Touch this on your cars Connect LCD Screen to reveal.

Connect Touch-Screen ON; touch "Settings" icon (far right); Then far right Folder Tab '>>' touch it a few times to 'System' Folder; finger scroll to bottom of page touch "About"; touch "Version Information";

See the three Version of Firmware Type + Numbers listed on
your cars Dashboard Connect LCD Screen (EU here is an example)..

OS Version is 56.00.513 EU N
Music Database Version is 00.05.000
Fail Safe Version is 56.00.513

Note: The N after the firmware 'type' means the 'SatNav' protocol that being the NNG brand.
(JP firmware has 'SatNav' protocol M by Matsukone only used for/in Japan).

Note: Earlier Versions of Firmware may not show any 'type' or letters after the numbers on your touch-screen, until a later update has been installed, be careful if there are no alpha letters after the firmware numbers that you do install the correct type for your Country, do not guess it, ask here if you are not certain.

------------------------------ooOOOoo-------------------------------------

Firmware
'usage' for Mazda Connect or MZD Connect is the same for all Skyactiv Mazda Models:
Like::
Mazda 2 (DJ) + Mazda 3 (BM#,BN) + Mazda 6 (GJ*,GL) +
Mazda CX-3 (DK) + Mazda CX-5 (KE*,KF) + Mazda CX-9 (TC) + MX-5 (ND).
* Can NOT be used with TomTom systems up to including 2015 Model Year.
# Mazda 3 Below 31?, if YES update with 31.00.100A UNIVERSAL FIRST, then must update again with Version 59 or latest.

Remember to use the correct Firmware type for your Country..
NA is for North America, USA, Canada, Mexico ONLY.
EU is for Europe, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Russia. etc.
ADR is for Australia/NZ/Thailand/Philippines/South Africa-America/Oceania.
JP is for Japan ONLY.

Mazda Connect FIRMWARE is the basic operating system of MZD or Mazda Connect, it does not contain Navigation Map Updates (See 5.2) or Music Database Updates (See 4..).
What all Firmware updates do is fix known problems with the operation of Connect, like Bluetooth or Wi-Fi poor connection, or screen freeze problems, or features which may not work as they should, EVERY Firmware Update (a higher numbered string) is an improvement over the one installed in your car right now.

2... Mazda/MZD Connect UPDATE Instructions
:
WARNING: Mac (Apple) computer OS for doing updates are not recommended by Mazda Tech because of Mac's 'hidden files' on the USB content and other user issues. Mazda only recommends Windows PCs, and small size 2.0 Flash Drives of 8 GB.

If you want to update your Connect yourself you need no other firmware editions apart from what is listed below.

2.1
. Follow the PDF Instructions in 'link' BELOW EXACTLY..

:shocked013:DO NOT RE-BOOT CONNECT DURING THE TWO FILE INSTALL.:shocked013:

2.2. Download 2 files to a PC first (desktop) See 3... below, then Copy and Paste each file to your clean/formatted USB flash drive (must be 2.0 version and FAT32), do not Drag and Drop the .UP files as 'KB' (packets) can be lost and therefore the install and update will not be successful.

2.3. Shown are the correct 'KB' size of each file, make sure that the file you download is the exact same file size in 'KB', if smaller or larger then it is corrupt and you will need to delete, and download again (this is rare, just make sure your copy is correct KB size on the USB Flash Drive).

2.4. In the end the files MUST BE in a .UP format, DO NOT 'Compress' or '.ZIP' these files to your flash drive. The Cars CMU is only seeking the .UP files.

2.5. CRITICAL: Ignition OFF, REMOVE Navi ''SD Card'' BEFORE you start any Firmware Updates.

2.6. Shut Down your Smart Phone (turn it off), plus any Wi-Fi Routers, Wi-Fi and BlueTooth Devices while updating the cars CMU Firmware.

2.7. CRITICAL: That you Do Not let your car go into automatic 'sleep/off mode', press your Brake and or Clutch Pedal every 15-20 minutes to keep Amber 'ACC' Light ON Push Button Start Switch On, use a loud bell Egg Timer set for every 20 mins.
Do Not Start Car or have car engine running while updating firmware.
Do Not have any other accessories on or running, like fan blower, headlamps, Air Conditioner.

2.8. CRITICAL: When finished both Firmware Updates, TURN Cars Ignition OFF, Reinsert Navi SD CARD, (SD CARD side Lock Tab MUST be Un-Locked) and then start car.....

2.9. Before attempting to re-pair a smart phone to the updated system, first must Delete MAZDA from the list of Bluetooth devices in your phones BT Settings that was formerly paired with old Connect. If not Deleted prior to introducing 'phone' it will not be able to be paired with the updated Connect system because the phone may not overwrite it's existing or old Bluetooth link.

Note: Blank screens (black and white) are displayed momentarily during the updates process. It can take up to 5 minutes before the re-flashing process moves to the next visual screen. Do not panic or turn off.

2.9.1 If you are seeing the following on Connect Screen after Firmware Update and after inserting SD Card and starting car..."Your Mazda is not equipped with a navigation system. However, an integrated navigation system is available through your Mazda dealer as a Genuine Mazda Accessory"...This means you MUST update SD Card and Maps Via new Mazda Toolbox 4.2.2 See 5.2 below..

Fault: You may experience the Connect infotainment system shutting down within a few minutes after the ignition is turned on, and then will not reboot.
It will only reboot after the ignition is turned off and then back on again. This is caused by an internal malfunction of Connectivity Master Unit (CMU) hardware and will need replacing, it is a known CMU hardware defect, nothing to do with the Firmware updating process...see you local Mazda Dealer to renew CMU hardware.

2.9.2 Last Resort: If you have a non responsive Mazda/MZD..
RESTORE ALL FACTORY SETTINGS - BLACK TOUCH-SCREEN :
Use this option if something goes wrong during Firmware Updating
and or you have an unresponsive black or blank touch-screen,
this will NOT work if you already had any Hacks or non OEM Tweaks previously installed.

Put car into Amber 'ACC' Light ON (Accessory Mode)Do Not Start Engine.
Wait 30 seconds for Connect to settle as you can not see the touch-screen
as it is blank or black.
Perform these setting inputs *below precisely as you are flying blind..
IF you make an input error you must turn off ACC system and power
down car See 5.4 below and do #1 to #3, and then repeat setting input process * again.

*PRESS "Home Button" above Commander Knob ONCE.
*TURN Silver Command Wheel 2 clicks to the Right.
*PRESS Down on Commander Black Knob ONCE.
*SLIDE-PUSH move Commander Knob 6 times to the Right.
*TURN Silver Command Wheel 5 clicks to the Right.
*PRESS Down on Commander Black Knob ONCE.
*TURN Silver Command Wheel 1 click to the Right.
*PRESS Down on Commander Black Knob ONCE.

After awhile the loading of screen and MAZDA logo should occur.
If Black Touch-Screen continues you will need your CMU hardware replaced.
A normal system boots up automatically by itself when car is on ACC or started.
The above Factory Reset can also be done via Touch-Screen if
it is working OK (not black). Also recommend this Factory Reset IF you have Tweaks installed Before you install updated Version 59 or higher Firmware

Specific Thanks goes to aleko

**MZD Connect fails to establish Wi-Fi connection:

Only where Connected Services is used (Live Traffic Information, etc):
For all with ADR or EU only and all Mazda Models up to about December 2015 Production.

MMC has recognised that there is a hardware defect within cars CMU, basically the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 'antennas' suffer from electromagnetic interference and causes a signal drop out as each antennae are poorly shielded.

The fix is to renew the cars CMU with a modified unit, your Mazda Dealer may say that they will update Firmware first (cheap option), but this will not and does not fix the hardware issue, only replacing the expensive Connectivity Master Unit (CMU) will.
You must complain to Dealer as they will not renew CMU unless you use the paid for subscribed 'Connected Services' feature..(this is not a Recall).

For SD Card Map Updates, the Testing Of, and SD Card Backup:
Also used for optional buying "Extras" associated with "*Connected Services" where you pay for Map Updates after the new car warranty Free Updates has expired and or for other Traffic Information Service purchases.
Mazda

Note: If your PC with Mazda Toolbox does not recognise your 'SD Card', make sure your Firewall and or Antivirus is turned off for SD CARD Navi Map Updates and other services, (or whitelist the Mazda Toolbox program).
Note: There can also be durability/reliability issues with early made
Mazda 'SD Cards', see Mazda Dealer if you are experiencing persistent Sat Navigation problems, you may need a new class Mazda SD Card.

SD Card + Map updates need a stable PC and stable internet connection file size download is over 4 GB. So it can take some time (hours) depending on your internet bandwidth. WARNING: Do Not remove Navi 'SD Card' from PC slot or shut down connection until update process is 100% completed. Otherwise you will corrupt expensive
SD Card.
Remember later with new Mazda Toolbox 4.2.2 to back up your large and Up-dated SD Card/Maps to your PC's hard drive.

5.3 “Invalid SD Card” is displayed on the center LCD display::

'Invalid SD Card'
displayed on the LCD display when there is a malfunction (like unauthorized modification, hard core failure, etc.) with the SD Card.
This error message may also be displayed when the SD Card is up-dated or replaced. This cause may also be the CMU is not reading the SD Card as old details are still in cache See 5.4.

5.4 Put the CMU into a sleep condition this way..:
1. Roll up all windows.
2. Set Ignition OFF, exit car, shut and then LOCK all doors.
3. Walk away and wait for 5 minutes, after this period all stand-by info in cache is erased.
4. Enter car and put Ignition to ACC mode and verify 'Invalid SD Card' has gone.
5. Be aware that sometimes your cars location can disrupt 'GPS Signal', like car is locked in steel garage, or next to tall building or overhead power lines, move car into open space.

* Not all Countries offer, or use, or have OTA "Connected Services" through cars CMU Wi-Fi.

5.5 BLUETOOTH Hands-Free issues and support::

Some owners may be experiencing Bluetooth/Hands Free problems with their Connect System.
Here are some Links where you can check to see if your device (smart-phone) is compatible with Mazda/MZD Connect.
Also Mazda TSB from North America on these issues, in some cases you may have a hardware defect and could be covered under new car warranty for replacement part.
ALWAYS CHECK FIRST IF YOUR PHONE IS COMPATIBLE see LINKS:

5.6 SPEED RESTRICTION DISABLED::

Click link here to see how to disable the Touch-Screen Speed Restriction
without any Hacking or SSH tweaking.
http://mazda3revolution.com/forums/1900705-post65.html

NOTE: OEM ''SPEED TOGGLE'' Disable for Touch Screen Speed Restriction use can not be performed on Mazda's with Firmware Versions 56.00.513 or ABOVE (like 58 or 59) installed, regardless of Country or Region, IF you are currently BELOW any of those versions like 56.00.240 or 55.00.760 you can do this OE tweak, and then later upgrade without losing these settings. See link above for more info.
UPDATE: There appears to be no user consistency with firmware #, I suggest you try the disable method first and IF it does not work after about 4 attempts then a rollback is your only other option. One thing is certain anyone on version 59 can not successfully do this 'speed toggle' disable at all. WARNING::shocked013: If your Mazda was born with ANY Type of 59.00.xxxx or above out from Mazda factories DO NOT Roll Back to any earlier Versions.

------------------------------ooOOOoo-------------------------------------

6... HARDWARE and FIRMWARE CAUTIONS:

When Installing a used CMU's and or used TAU's and other Mazda/MZD Connect Hardware:
When Installing Firmware from or meant for a different Country or Region:
When Shipping your Mazda for on road use within another new country:

6.1 Remember Navi 'SD Card' is locked to cars original CMU and VIN Number after brand new and original cars 'SD Card' has travelled more than 100 Kilometres or 62 miles.
NNG Navigation will not work if SD Card is removed and installed in another Mazda Connect system meant for another Mazda.
There is a SD Card Navi-Hack available in this forum.

6.2 Tuner (TAU) Radio spectrum frequencies (AM:FM) and coverage differs greatly between many countries which may not be tune-able after using a non compliant Mazda TAU (Tuner Amp Unit) originally installed and used for and in another country:
North America uses DRM and HD Radio along with XM Satellite Radio Spectrum's.
Europe and ADR use DAB, DAB+ and HD Radio with alternative frequencies.
EU and ADR does not have or use subscribed XM Satellite applications included in cars Connect hardware and firmware like NA has.
NA does not officially have or use DAB, DAB+ certification as an application.
Yes, you can tune in some live Radio Frequencies, but not all.

Remember MZD/Mazda Connect Firmware is much more than just 'a' Navi, Tuner and a Smart Phone user interface.
Also has user interface on later Mazda's with features like i-Activsense associated with i-Stop, Oil and Fuel maintenance monitors, safety monitoring, and i-Eloop regeneration system just to name a few.
Using NA Firmware meant for a car sold in Europe or ADR does not have this software for Diesel Oil Maintenance Monitoring as NA does not yet sell Mazda Skyactiv Diesels, it also does not have the software UI for Mazda i-Stop, apart from all the other language packs used in Europe and ADR.
JP or Japan Connect Firmware uses Matsukone set up for Navi and other extras not seen in other countries like DVD Player and TV, and the same applies for compatibility hardware.... it is not.
It is not just a simple difference.

6.3 In regard to Navigation (Navi), Maps and Data (Binary) are obviously different.
Yes SD Card can be hacked, however some caution in relation to using latest Mazda Toolbox 4.2.2 for Navi Map Updates after the hacking of Navi SD Card as the new desktop Toolbox update program now checks your cars VIN on SD Card to what is registered against hardware/software and your physical location of Mazda Connect.

From USA to Europe

I'm seeking your help on the following issue. I did noticed that you mentioned to use the correct COUNTRY specific software when performing an upgrade. However, I lived in the states (USA) for a couple of years and bought myself a Mazda CX5 with (off course) ... NA N software.
I moved to Europe and brought my Mazda with me. Now, being in Europe for quite some time (the Netherlands), i would like to us the EU software instead of the American on my CMU.
Can I update with the EU software? Is this possible or is there a difference in CMU so it wouldn't run the EU software?

1. Model Mazda CX5, VIN JM3KE
2. Firmware installed: OS and Failsafe: 55.00.750 NA N and database 00.05.00
3. Live in Europe, Netherlands
4. Problem: NAV chip With European map will not work (so they told me at the MAZDA garage locally)

Thanks

you dont need to change the firmware region,

just follow this post of me. to hack it..
tips:: the original binary after you take it from JCI , you can keep copy of it before hacking , in case you back US can use the step to replaced it.

#46 ·
ASH8, thanks for asking. I still have to find out if the answer works for the NAV issue.

However, the initial question still remains, can you install the EU software on the USA CMU? This because not only the NAV is effected, also the possible display languages, the radio frequency etc.
Do you know iff this is possible?

Grtz.

#48 ·
I somehow doubt you will brick CMU (but can't guarantee), I have physically installed NA 55 Firmware over ADR (which is now basically EU with different language packs) in AU and the Sat Nav still worked but Tuner had issues with local AU frequencies, not all stations would tune, see 6.2 on page one.
You wish to do the reverse EU over NA, you wont resolve Navi issues and you should have some form of AM:FM,no digital, and no XM service...NA Tuner Amps (TAU hardware) are unique to NA.

Its not gong to resolve the basic Hardware differences unless you hack.

Anyway I prefer this thread not turn into hack advise as it is only about OE normal installs please PM each other or take to appropriate thread.

#47 ·
No don't, it will brick your CMU.

all what are you concerned about radio Navi System Language , all firmware region can be modified for example
Navi : as i wrote to you before

Radio
Code:
modified the File (( blm_radio-system.xml )) located at jci\settings\configurations
EU used:
<Node key="radio">
    <Node key="AMFreq" data="F64" value="530"/>
    <Node key="FMFreq" data="F64" value="87.7"/>
    <Node key="Band" data="U32" value="2"/>
    <Node key="AMHd" data="U32" value="2"/>
    <Node key="FMHd" data="U32" value="2"/>
</Node>
System language and VR voice related to Language can be modified from same location jci\settings\configurations
Code:
maz_cmu-root.xml
blm_settings-system.xml

Navi : as i wrote to you before
Champ has it occurred to you that Phil may not have a clue what you are talking about and perhaps does not want to hack as he is not certain about the full process.
Phil is a retired gentleman from the Air Force, so I am guessing and being very presumptuous, after all he has not replied to anything that you have addressed directly to him?

Perhaps talk it through more privately/precisely in correct thread or in PM to him if you are certain about the changes you are instructing.?

Just a thought I could be totally wrong..

Thanks.. :)

EU navigation on USA Mazda

Dear Champ,

Since I'm not allowed to send you a PM, here a generic findings-report:

I've tried the NAV solution as you gave to me earlier. I did find a Europe navigation map (called 'Mazda 3 Copy 2014', with a specific CID and a separate xxx.lyc file). Made a SDHC card (8gb fat32) and copied all files/directories on it.

Step 1 went oke, I got the 'jci-linux_imx6_volans-release' for my car.
I ran the tool and made a CID patched version and a CID_SIGN patched version. I used the CID number given in the downloaded EU map.

Did step 4 and step 5, the system did reboot, but did NOT accept the SD card :frown2:

Even after adding the extra ...lyc file out of the 'Mazda 3 Copy 2014' on the SD card, it did not work at all. Always the 'invalid SD card' notice.

Any suggestions?

Grtz PhilSat.

Hi All,

Hoping someone can offer some guidance.

I decided to try and update my V55 NA to the V59 NA software on my 2015 MZ3 due to some annoying bluetooth connectivity issues I have been having. I was able to install the fail safe without a problem, did the power down, and went back in to install the reinstall package but it was not there. I thought maybe I needed to copy the file on to the USB drive again so I turned the car off and went to re-download and load it onto the USB drive. Now when I press ignition once to activate the head unit I hear the radio turn on but do not see anything on the screen. It stays black. I waited 5 minutes to see if it would do anything else and it did not. Anyone have an idea how to proceed from here?

Connect Touch-Screen can now be Touch Toggled used while car is moving.
Done without any SSH or Hacking.

UPDATE: There appears to be no user consistency with firmware, some with 56.00.513C works and other don't, I suggest you try the disable method first and IF it does not work after about 4 attempts then a rollback is your only other option. One thing is certain at this stage anyone on version 59 can not successfully do this 'speed toggle' disable at all......but....See this post link \/ below \/ for rollback information.

There are other 'Script' toggle options on screen, do not touch ;)

5.6 SPEED RESTRICTION DISABLED::

How to disable Connect Touch-Screen SPEED RESTRICTION
without Hacking or SSH Tweaking.

Turn Radio ON low volume (not in a muted volume condition).

*Press FAVORITES, MUTE BUTTON, MUSIC BUTTON on Commander Switch at same time for about 2-5 seconds.
*A 'Test Screen' is now shown on touch-screen.
*Press and Hold 'DEL' key for about 20 secs until ''JCI Test Mode Active'' text is shown in large black box on right side screen, Quickly release finger.
*Enter 11 and then press ENTER key.
*Black Script Screen options will be Displayed.
*Press "SPEED TOGGLE" key.
*Result: Speed Restriction has been toggled: DISABLE.
*Press OK
*Press CANCEL on back screen.
*Press 'Exit' key on Test Screen.

Now back to normal Connect Touch-Screen.
Turn Off 'ACC' accessory so car is all off.
Wait about 30 seconds.

Start Car and Engine, allow Connect to stabilise normally.

Connect Touch-Screen can now be Touch Toggled used while car is moving.
Done without any SSH or Hacking.

Be aware that there are other 'Script' toggle options on screen, show some caution if you decide to fiddle or try them out. ;)

Thanks Ash - that worked for me and has removed a big frustration I have had with the system.

A question: are there any other useful things that can be toggled on or off in that testscreen? Or should we leave well enough alone?

Unfortunately, the speed restriction disable does not work for me. Get to "Press and hold "del" key and nothing happens. The del key is dark and then greyed out when I press on it so it is registering the press. I get to about 30 seconds and the del key returns to black whilst pressing. Entered 11 anyway and get "invalid" message.

On version 56.00513EUN and Music database 00.7.00. The EU firmware is as provided when car was new in September 2016. (Mazda CX5)

Thanks Jonno21

OK perhaps my instruction is not detailed enough, once you have the test screen up/on.
Press DEL key for no more than 20 seconds, see the large black box on the right (Data Window).
Keep looking at it, once you see "JCI Test Mode Active" IMMEDIATELY take your finger OFF the DEL key/button FAST....as you are holding onto it for too long.
Then enter 11 ENTER.

Please get back with results.

touchscreen speed limiter

just tried this on my 2014 uk mazda 3 and it worked. I got onto the jci test screen on the third attempt and pressed speed toggle and it worked.out of curiosity does anyone know what the other buttons do on that screen?,there might be some more handy tweaks hidden in there waiting to be discovered.

Hi ASH8

Just tried again and neither the Status Window nor the Data Window change no matter how long I hold down the "Del" button. I've tried several times and even tried with the navigation card in or out. I have no USB sticks connected and the phone is not connected either by bluetooth or using the wifi hotspot for live traffic. I have tried with just the accessories on and with the engine running. It just does not behave the same as seen in the youtube video examples. Perhaps Mazda have disabled the option to go into JCI Test Mode screen from the head unit controls so only the dealer can go in via their dealer computer? My optimism was nice while it lasted.

Thanks anyway

RE: Speed Restriction Disabled Option:

ROLLBACK of Firmware.....

.................OK Guys and Gals sorry about this but it appears this OEM option 'JCI Test Screen ACTIVE' via the DEL button on Test Screen has been removed with and in later firmware editions...

But not all is lost....only for some.
IF your Mazda came installed with Version 56.00.513, 58, 59 or higher from the factory (basically 2016-17 model year onwards) then you can not rollback your firmware without the risk of system crash as these cars have specific scripts for different new features which are not loaded in any older firmware versions (those below 56).

ANY model Mazda who originally came with 56.00.240 or below firmware can rollback to 55 (say if were on 26, 31, 42, 51 and Dealer or you updated to and now on 56 or 59 now), YOU CAN rollback to 55 then do the SPEED TOGGLE change, physically drive car and see if it is working OK, and then upgrade/update back to your latest available firmware.
Connect will retain the Speed Toggle DISABLED script even when doing future Firmware Updates as the system retains the script and your settings.
So you only need to run this Speed Toggle Disable script once.
(Only doing a factory reset may re-enable it, which you do not want to do).

BELOW are the ONLY two files
of NA 55.00.753A you need to rollback to as a TEMPORARY Rollback, in this instance you can use these two as a rollback replacement for ADR (4A) and EU and NA.
They will run and will work, after the Speed Toggle change you then upgrade back to your original Country FIRMWARE of EU or ADR or NA latest on page one of this thread.
(Those with EU and ADR (4A) who would prefer a local rollback version, PM me or if you can find EU 56.00.230A or ADR 56.00.100A is what I would recommend as a temporary rollback file IF you dont want to use the NA 55 I listed links below, which will work fine).
ALL normal Firmware install procedures and instructions apply to a rollback in reverse.

Firwmare - Mazda 6 2016

Hi,

My 2016 Mazda 6 has FW 55.00.760 NA N. For some reason I don't have WiFi... I live in Panama, and went to the Mazda dealership and the 2017 Mazda 6 in showroom has 59.00.342 4A N. It seems to me they are being sold in Panama with the Australian firmware? Does this version support WiFi? Where can I download this version?

Thanks a bunch...

R.

OK, interesting, Version 59 ADR (4A) is not yet available as a download file, period, I think it will be available sometime in the new year.
Yes, All ADR (4A) does have Wi-Fi for Connected Services.
I suggest you try the ADR 56.00.513C on page 1 here.
If you don't like how it works you can install back to your original 55.00.760 NA N

Hi All,
Regarding the WIFI connection issues in Europe, I experienced this initially but after setting my (android) phone hotspot channel to 11 a connection is established. Using any channel lower than this fails to connect.

Hope this helps!

Cheers
Giles.
